LOCAL MEDICINE FOR THE EARTH TEACHERS

I am delighted to provide you with a list of local teachers for the Medicine for the Earth material. All of these people have trained with me to teach a weekend gathering, a five-day gathering or ongoing groups. The list includes over 65 names in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Central America.

Individual teachers will personalize their trainings to fit their own style and expertise. They also might choose to do the ceremony to transmute water with tap water and inviting participants who are suffering from an illness into the circle instead of using toxic chemicals to transmute. We have done enough scientific testing with ammonium hydroxide to know that the ceremony produces good results.

None of us including myself will be able to teach all the material in Medicine for the Earth, which is why it is required reading for all courses.

MEDICINE FOR THE EARTH GATHERINGS

Five-Day Medicine for the Earth Gathering

The five-day training based on the information in Medicine for the Earth teaches how to transform personal and environmental pollution by learning how to transmute negative beliefs, attitudes, and energy which is generated by emotions.

The process continues with learning how to work in cooperation with helping spirits and the spirits of the land as well as getting in touch with your own internal divine nature to create healing and transmutation. Participants will also take part in a ceremony to transmute water that has been contaminated with ammonium hydroxide, which will illustrate how the principle of harmony within creates harmony without.

The training includes learning about working in cooperation with all the elements earth, water, air, fire. Other key elements and spiritual practices will also be explored which can be easily incorporated into daily life. These methods are necessary and helpful for transforming and transmuting environmental and personal toxins.

In addition to the ceremony working with polluted water, long distance work will also be done, there will be a ceremony with fire, and an additional ceremony designed to transmute planetary problems.
The great power of visioning will be explored and there will be a powerful ceremony with fire used to manifest visions. In addition to shamanic journeying, meditation, yoga, and chanting will be utilized to help change states of consciousness and raise awareness. The work done as a group in collaboration with community and the spirits is truly a life transforming experience.

HEALING WITH SPIRITUAL LIGHT (Formerly called Advanced Healing)

As the causes of illness today are different than in ancient times, our healing methods must be updated to deal with modern day illness. So much of the illnesses we see today such as the epidemic rate of cancer and the increase in immune deficiency problems are a direct result of the chemical pollution in our environment.

The focus of this training will be on learning new methods of healing that can be integrated into your shamanic healing practice. We will explore the use of transfiguration (shapeshifting into your own divinity) as well as methods of merging with helping spirits to go beyond traditional healing methods and open us to the power of the universe that knows how to heal and transmute illness.

THE WAY OF THE SHAMAN

This is a beginning workshop on shamanic journeying, which I teach for the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. During this experiential workshop, participants are introduced to core shamanism, the nearly universal methods used by the shaman to enter non-ordinary reality for problem solving and healing. Particular emphasis is on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most remarkable visionary methods utilized to explore hidden universes otherwise known primarily through myth and dream. Participants are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming and other techniques for experiencing the shamanic state of consciousness and for awakening dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with Nature.

Practice includes comparisons by participants of their discoveries in shamanic journeys as well as being introduced to shamanic divination and healing. They are also provided with methods for journeying to discover and study with their own individual spiritual teachers in non-ordinary reality, a classic step in shamanic practice. Participants learn how the journey is used to help restore spiritual power and health, and how shamanism can be applied in contemporary daily life to help heal one-self, others, and the Planet.

This training is the prerequisite for all advanced workshops and training courses offered by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

FIVE-DAY SOUL RETRIEVAL TRAINING

This training is residential and is based on Sandra Ingerman’s books Soul Retrieval: Mending the Fragmented Self and Welcome Home: Following Your Soul’s Journey Home.

The five-day workshop is designed exclusively for those who wish to bring shamanic healing techniques into their practice with others, not for personal healing. Participants will be trained to work with the issue of soul loss, will explore the experience of partial soul loss resulting from personal trauma and illness, and will learn how to track a person’s soul and return lost essence to that individual. The course also focuses on life after soul retrieval… how to create a healthier life after healing has taken place. Individuals taking the training will perform and receive a soul retrieval during the course of the week, and are given extensive instruction on how to work with clients after a soul retrieval through the use of shamanic journeying, ritual, and ceremony.


Success at shamanic journeying and good contact with power animals and/or teachers in non-ordinary reality is essential for participation. Please do not enroll if you are not confident with your journey skills. “The Way of the Shaman” weekend workshop with an FSS faculty member is a prerequisite for this training.

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES WITH SANDRA INGERMAN

RECONNECTING WITH NATURE THROUGH THE SHAMANIC JOURNEY

For many, the word “shaman” calls to mind a traditional healer steeped in secret knowledge and mysterious powers. But in this workshop, participants will learn to directly experience the shamanic journey, a method of entering non-ordinary reality usually glimpsed only in myths and dreams. Participants will be initiated into the shamanic journey, aided by drumming to meet helping spirits who volunteer themselves to help guide you through life.

By learning from plants and animals, from the rocks and mountains, from the winds and water, and from the sun, moon, and stars, shamans helped people live in harmony with the universe.

Participants will be led into an experiential connection with the spirits of nature in order to create harmony and balance in our own lives in order to restore and maintain our health as well as the health of the planet.

NEW: TWO-TEAR TEACHER TRAINING IN SHAMANIC JOURNEYING AND HEALING

It is time to seed our communities with well-trained teachers to save people the expense of having to travel to distant workshops. We need to create a way to get information to a broader audience so that we can help change the current level of consciousness in the world.

In this training I will cover issues and questions that come up when teaching groups, help participants design workshops, and I will share new adaptations to the work that will speak to our world community and work with present-day issues and problems. We will also use journeying and ceremonies to work through the egoic traps that many teachers fall into when they take on the role of teacher and help work through blocks that prevent us from being as creative as is our birthright.

Combined with training participants to teach, this course is also designed to go further with the work taught in the Medicine for the Earth and Advanced Healing Trainings.

This course will not include a teacher-training for the Medicine for the Earth Gatherings. This will remain a separate course.

There are quite a few prerequisites for this course. There will be two programs to choose from. One program will be given in Santa Fe, NM and one on the East Coast. I will begin a program in Europe in 2005.
