Five-Day Medicine for the Earth Gathering

The five-day training based on the information in Medicine for the Earth teaches how to transform personal and environmental pollution by learning how to transmute negative beliefs, attitudes, and energy which is generated by emotions.

The process continues with learning how to work in cooperation with helping spirits and the spirits of the land as well as getting in touch with our own internal divine nature to create healing and transmutation. Participants will also take part in a ceremony to transmute water and other substances which will illustrate how the principle of harmony within creates harmony without.

The training includes learning about working in cooperation with all the elements earth, water, air, fire. Other key elements and spiritual practices will also be explored which can be easily incorporated into daily life. These methods are necessary and helpful for transforming and transmuting environmental and personal toxins.

In addition to the ceremony working with polluted water, long distance work will also be done, there will be a ceremony with fire, and an additional ceremony designed to transmute planetary problems.

The great power of visioning will be explored and there will be a powerful ceremony with fire used to manifest visions. The work done as a group in collaboration with community and the spirits is truly a life transforming experience.

MEDICINE FOR THE EARTH REUNION
This reunion is only open to those who have been part of a Medicine for the Earth Gathering. Any gathering taught by a teacher on www.medicinefortheearth.com is the prerequisite. This is a time for us to go deeper with the work. Exercises are presented by participants who have been teaching and working with the Medicine for the Earth material. THE WAY OF THE SHAMAN

This is a beginning workshop on shamanic journeying which I teach for the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. During this experiential workshop, participants are introduced to core shamanism, the nearly universal methods used by the shaman to enter nonordinary reality for problem solving and healing. Particular emphasis is on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most remarkable visionary methods utilized to explore hidden universes otherwise known primarily through myth and dream. Participants are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming and other techniques for experiencing the shamanic state of consciousness and for awakening dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with Nature.

Practice includes comparisons by participants of their discoveries in shamanic journeys as well as being introduced to shamanic divination and healing. They are also provided with methods for journeying to discover and study with their own individual spiritual teachers in nonordinary reality, a classic step in shamanic practice. Participants learn how the journey is utilized to help restore spiritual power and health, and how shamanism can be applied in contemporary daily life to help heal one-self, others, and the Planet.

This training is the prerequisite for all advanced workshops and training courses offered by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

SHAMANISM, DYING AND BEYOND

Participants will learn how to deal with the issue of death and dying from a shamanic perspective. The workshop is for those who wish to understand the death process better for themselves, and for those who, either from a personal or professional viewpoint, wish to help others who are facing death.

Experiences to be undertaken will include training in how to help a person prepare for their own death, exploring the cosmology of where souls travel to after death, and classic psychopomp work including how to help a person who has died who needs assistance in moving to a more comfortable place. Other journeys will include meeting with deceased loved ones to see if they are okay and finish up any unfinished business.

Prerequisite: The Way of the Shaman weekend workshop with a FSS faculty member.

FIVE-DAY SOUL RETRIEVAL TRAINING

This training is residential and is based on Sandra Ingerman’s books Soul Retrieval: Mending the Fragmented Self and Welcome Home: Following Your Soul’s Journey Home

The five-day workshop is designed exclusively for those who wish to bring shamanic healing techniques into their practice with others, not for personal healing. Participants will be trained to work with the issue of soul loss, will explore the experience of partial soul loss resulting from personal trauma and illness, and will learn how to track a person’s soul and return lost essence to that individual. The course also focuses on life after soul retrieval… how to create a healthier life after healing has taken place. Individuals attending the training will perform and receive a soul retrieval during the course of the week, and are given extensive instruction on how to work with clients after a soul retrieval through the use of shamanic journeying, ritual, and ceremony.

Success at shamanic journeying and good contact with power animals and/or teachers in non-ordinary reality is essential for participation. Please do not enroll if you are not confident with your journeying skills.
