MEDICINE FOR THE EARTH GATHERINGS 2005
These trainings based on the information in Medicine for the Earth teach how to transform personal and environmental pollution by learning how to transmute negative beliefs, attitudes, and energy which is generated by emotions.
The process continues with learning how to work in cooperation with helping spirits, the spirits of the land, and the devic realms (the little people, fairies, and angels with whom we co-create “the garden”). We also learn how to get in touch with our own internal divine nature to create healing and transmutation. Participants will also take part in a ceremony to transmute water which will illustrate how the principle of harmony within creates harmony without.
The training includes learning about working in cooperation with all the elements earth, water, air, fire. Other key elements and spiritual practices will also be explored which can be easily incorporated into daily life. These methods are necessary and helpful for transforming and transmuting environmental and personal toxins.
Prerequisite: There are no workshops required for this training. Experience with shamanic journeying is required. If you need to

Please note: My passion is to keep teaching Medicine for the Earth. Due to the fact that I am teaching four two-year teacher trainings in shamanic journeying and healing in 2005 (which translates to 8 weeks of workshops), I will not be leading a Medicine for the Earth Gathering in the U.S. during 2005. I will continue to teach many of the practices and principles in all the trainings I do lead.

I am delighted to provide you with a list of local teachers for the Medicine for the Earth material. All of these people have trained with me to teach a weekend gathering, a five-day gathering or ongoing groups. The list includes over 100 names in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Central America.
Individual teachers will personalize their trainings to fit their own style and expertise.
None of us including myself will be able to teach all the material in Medicine for the Earth, which is why it is required reading for all courses.

HEALING WITH SPIRITUAL LIGHT (Formerly called Advanced Healing)
As the causes of illness today are different than ancient times, our healing methods must be updated to deal with modern day illness. So much of the illnesses we see today such as the epidemic rate of cancer and the increase in immune deficiency problems are a direct result of the chemical pollution in our environment.
The focus of this training will be on learning new methods of healing that can be integrated into your shamanic healing practice. We will explore the use of transfiguration (shapeshifting into your own divinity) as well as methods of merging with helping spirits to go beyond traditional healing methods and open us to the power of the universe that knows how to heal and transmute illness.

THE WAY OF THE SHAMAN
This is a beginning workshop on shamanic journeying which I teach for the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. During this experiential workshop, participants are introduced to core shamanism, the nearly universal methods used by the shaman to enter nonordinary reality for problem solving and healing. Participants are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming.
Practice includes comparisons by participants of their discoveries in shamanic journeys as well as being introduced to shamanic divination and healing. Participants learn how the journey is utilized to help restore spiritual power and health, and how shamanism can be applied in contemporary daily life to help heal one-self, others, and the Planet.
This training is the prerequisite for all advanced workshops and training courses offered by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

FIVE-DAY SOUL RETRIEVAL TRAINING
This training is residential and is based on Sandra Ingerman’s books Soul Retrieval: Mending the Fragmented Self and Welcome Home: Following Your Soul’s Journey Home
The five-day workshop is designed exclusively for those who wish to bring shamanic healing techniques into their practice with others, not for personal healing. Participants will be trained to work with the issue of soul loss, will explore the experience of partial soul loss resulting from personal trauma and illness, and will learn how to track a person’s soul and return lost essence to that individual. The course also focuses on life after soul retrieval… how to create a healthier life after healing has taken place. Individuals attending the training will perform and receive a soul retrieval during the course of the week, and are given extensive instruction on how to work with clients after a soul retrieval through the use of shamanic journeying, ritual, and ceremony.
Success at shamanic journeying and good contact with power animals and/or teachers in non-ordinary reality is essential for participation. Please do not enroll if you are not confident with your journeying skills. “The Way of the Shaman” weekend workshop with an FSS faculty member is a prerequisite for this training.

USING THE SHAMANIC JOURNEY TO FIND INNER PEACE
This workshop will be a blend of the material in Shamanic Journeying: A Beginner’s Guide and Medicine for the Earth. Participants will be trained in the practice of shamanic journeying. Shamanic journeying will be used to find ways to transform problematic emotions, attitudes, and belief systems. Participants will be taught how to tap into their own divine nature so that they can once again flow in harmony with the river of life. We will also look at how connecting with the spirits of nature can bring peace and joy into our lives.

DISSOLVING THE VIEL BETWEEN THE WORLDS
These three days will be spent on 900 acres of incredible land in Northern New Mexico with meadows, forests, and ponds. We will explore the true path of shamanism of having time to be solo on the land and connect with nature. Together as a group we will drum, rattle, dance, and sing for hours to truly move through the doorway of ordinary reality where the veils between the worlds truly dissolve. We will also perform ceremonies and make essences of the elements.
There is no electricity at this retreat center and we will be camping. Some group tents and hogans are available.

I am very excited to bring Carlo Zumstein from Switzerland to the U.S. For years I have been listening to Carlo talk about his workshop on the Shamanic Dreampath. I have been very impressed with what he has to share and the feedback that I get from his students in Europe. I am delighted to make his work available here.
The five-day workshop “The Shamanic Dreampath” opens doors into ways of being and seeing that were common to all our ancestors.
Carlo Zumstein has explored the shamans dream path for more than thirty years, guided by shamanic dream allies. These profound personal experiences connect Carlo with the traditional wisdom of shamanic cultures-including ancient Egypt and the dream yoga of Tibet, as well as the discoveries of contemporary dream research. Upon this basis, he has developed a unique series of dream rituals, which he has been teaching successfully in Europe for the past ten years.
Dreaming becomes a nightly journey of the soul into realms of non-ordinary reality where the soul itself is a dream of the universe. As pure light and in its divine state the soul dreams itself in a process of self-creation back into every day life.
We begin to understand ordinary reality, our life stories, our sufferings and needs, even our bodies as unfulfilled recurrent dreams. By dreaming them to fulfillment, we restore the power of our soul. We experience profound healing, transformation and the liberation of our creative potential to create an intact world.
Using innovative approaches workshop participants will progressively develop their dream memory and dream perception, as well as their ability to dream consciously (lucid dreaming).
Please don’t come expecting psychological interpretation of dreams.
Although Carlo speaks English, the workshop will be translated from German into English. In this way Carlo can speak and guide us in the fluidity and poetic way he is known for. Sandra Ingerman will also be present at this training to assist Carlo.
Carlo Zumstein holds a Ph.D. in psychotherapy and has been a shamanic practitioner for thirty years. After ten years of being a faculty member for the FSS he has founded the Foundation for Living Shamanism and Spirituality. He is the author of three books about shamanism, the shamanic healing of depression, and the Dreampath.
The prerequisite for this training is having good shamanic journeying skills.

In this five-day workshop we will combine shamanic journeying, yoga postures, breathing, and mindfulness of breath and the practice of awareness of the present moment (techniques taken from vipassana meditation).
This combination of practices will:

Enhance your shamanic journey.
We will use drumming to explore the practice of shamanic journeying, a method to access helping spirits in non-ordinary realms for the purpose of gaining spiritual insights for our personal life and for the planet.
No experience with shamanic journeying, meditation, or yoga is required. Gentle yoga postures will be used to help oxygenate the system to facilitate clarity in our journey work. All postures can be accommodated to different physical conditions.
