Transmutation News December 2004

We have been surfing quite the tidal wave for the last few months. We have had to work hard on keeping centered and focused with all that is happening in the world. This tidal wave has brought up a wealth of feelings to be worked with and through.

I know that all of you had to really work with the results of the election in the U.S. I think that one can analyze the results on many different levels. But what is important to those working with the Medicine for the Earth work is how we keep moving forward with our spiritual work.

In both America and Europe there was deep disappointment about the results of the election. I received letters from some of you after I returned from Europe mid Nov. All the letters contained the same response. There were huge emotions after the election. But each person who wrote me made a real commitment to continue to do the spiritual work to hold the light and recognized how important this is. I found myself feeling heartened by the community created who is willing to move forward together even though the world around us can look pretty dark.

I was thinking about how I have to drive my car during a rain or snowstorm. I have to hold the steering wheel and completely concentrate on the road in front of me. I hold my focus of where I am driving to while I keep my vision on the present. I cannot waiver on my concentration or I could drive off the road.

During these stormy times we must keep driving with a great deal of concentration and focus. We cannot afford to get distracted by the chaos around us. We must do the alchemical process of working within and through the density of our feelings. We must recognize that we are spirits who are operating with a narrow vision of what is really going on with the big weather patterns. We work together in partnership with our helping spirits who have a better understanding of the larger picture.

There has been so much to process over the last few months and now we are moving into the season of winter. This is a time for all of us to regenerate and draw deep inside ourselves to regain our power and to continue to dream together the world we do want to call into being.

This month I would ask that you journey or meditate to merge with the earth where you live. Get a physical sense of what the earth is doing at this time of winter. This will help you move physically in a similar way so that you are moving in harmony with the earth’s natural cycles and not resisting them.

Before we move into a deep process of dreaming let’s reflect on the year. Don’t move into a place of judgement, just simple reflect on the following questions so that we can begin again with new intentions for the next year.

Did you lose your focus and concentration while watching or hearing about world events this year? Were you able to get back into your spiritual work or did you remain too distracted?

Who did you give your power away to this year thinking someone else could create a better life or way for you?

Were you able to imagine the world you would like to live in?

Did you actively work with setting an intention in your spiritual work?

Did you move forward with bridging your spiritual practices into your moment to moment life or did you only work spiritually at specific times of the day?

Did you keep your heart open to healing and unlimited possibilities of change?

When you worked with experiencing your divinity were you able to perceive the divine in others too even those people who you do not agree with?

How did you do with finding peace and harmony within no matter what was going in the outside world? Remember to have peace we must be peace.

Did you experience your feelings and continue to work them through so that you were feeding the positive heart of the world? Did you find yourself feeding the heart of hate, anger, and separation more than feeding the heart of unity, love, and peace? Did you recognize that your problematic feelings are valid and at the same time work the energy through so that you were coating the earth with love instead of anger?

It is important to realize that techniques will not heal the world. Who we become is what creates light and healing. It is important to recognize and acknowledge our own personal power to work in partnership with others and the helping spirits in creating change. It is important to continue to be in gratitude for all the gifts we are being given. And it is important not to judge ourselves for being human, but set a strong intention to continue to grow toward the light by the spiritual practices we engage in daily.

Winter is a time to gather strength and power. Winter is a time to draw your energy in as the seeds do to create the heat needed to burst forth in spring. Winter is a great time to practice the dreaming and creation work we engaged in together during the year.

On the winter solstice I ask that you prepare a space in your house where you can draw your energy in and gather the power needed to burst forth with new life this spring. Prepare a space where you can work with the void, the place of unpotentiated energy where you can call your creation of change into being.

We all have obligations to be out in the world in a variety of ways. We have jobs and families to care for. But for us to live in harmony with the earth’s vibration and cycle during this time of winter we need to do some inner work to strengthen and regenerate. We need to gather our power within to help strengthen our own immune systems so we can be healthy on all levels.

So find a space in your house where you can take time alone throughout the winter months. Designate this space as your dreaming space. Bring in pillows, blankets, and objects that provide comfort and healing energies for you. Gather music CD’s that help you go within. Light a candle or candles setting your intention to go within during the months ahead to gather your power and regenerate. Set your intention to create times where you can work on your transfiguration practice as well as working on creating a vision for the new year. Light some incense and create sacred space by opening up your heart in love to yourself and the spirit that lives in all things.

Know that there is a world community all preparing our spaces together so that we create a collective that supports our dreaming process. The more we can really gather and draw and energies in the more our dreams for the world will be fueled to manifest.

Do a ceremony to call the parts of your soul and your energies that you left in other places and with other people during the year. Call yourself back home.

You might wish to review April’s and August’s Transmutation News where I shared about manifesting our dreams. And let’s collectively acknowledge that each of us has the personal power needed to join our creative energies to create beauty, love, and light in the world.

If we set an intention together and really concentrate on our practices while maintaining a focus on where we are going we can create and tap into our potential. We must keep our hearts open in love and keep our imagination going in a positive direction as well as remember we are all connected to a great web of light and life.

Let’s as a world community take the opportunity that nature gives us at this time to go within and regenerate and dream together. It’s a potent time. Don’t allow yourself to get pulled out of such a powerful time by distractions in the outer world.
